Years ago, the dark queen was executed by witches, her cultists hunted down like rats and forced into hiding. Their black magic buried and put to rest, all was well in the world … or so we thought.

Kitarni Barany, witch and shepherd of her flock, has always been different. There’s a darkness in her blood and a destiny beyond the border of her small village.

Corruption is spreading, and the whispers of cultists stir through the woods once again.

Betrothed to the heir of the Wolfblood Clan, she risks not only her life but her heart. United, they must stand against the cultists, or watch the Kingdom of Hungary fall.

Cursed by Death and controlled by Fate, Kitarni is forced to meet her demons … or die by them.

A story of succumbing to wicked desires, death, and the temptations of a deliciously dangerous love.

The Cursed and the Broken is a steamy, enemies-to-lovers dark fantasy romance perfect for fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout and Kerri Maniscalco. No broomsticks or cauldrons here, only magic of the darkest kind and dimples to swoon over.

Why you need to read The Cursed and the Broken

And if there was one thing I knew for sure now, it was that my magic wasn’t a gift. It was a curse.

I will always love books about witches, magic and enemies-to-lovers fantasy romances so I was thrilled to pick up The Cursed and the Broken! ♥️✨ Full of beautiful descriptions, an enchanting witch town, a dark forest and a fierce heroine, the first installment of The Cursed Blood series had me holding my breath and I just couldn’t put it down. Kitarni is so cool, I loved how despite her not having “the right kind of magic “ and being shunned by most witches in her town, she didn’t let that get to her and affect her lively/cheeky personality. 😂 And then there is also her betrothed, Dante, it was clear since the moment they met that their engagement was not going to be as smoothly as they hoped.

But the thing I admired the most of Kitarni was how much she loved and protected her mother and sister. This girl really could move mountains for them and you could tell that they both loved her back just as much. ♥️ She also loves her hometown and after she started to sense that a lurking evil and imminent danger that is threatening their peaceful lives is fast approaching, she doesn’t hesitate to move into action! Kitarni meets both Fate and Death, possibly some of the most fearful beings in existence, and yet she still has more pressing foes she needs to defeat such as: The Dark Queen. She remains a mystery, but nevertheless a constant threat throughout the story.

We also get to meet several amazing characters, some of my favorites were Margit and András, they were funny, clever and despicable. 😂 They helped Kitarni the moment they met her and their immediate friendship and likable personalities were so easy to love. I would also like to mention Laszlo and Arló, they are Kitarni’s adorable hound and horse that are the absolute cutest!! 🥺♥️✨

The Cursed and the Broken was a fantastic read, I cannot wait to see what comes next in Kitarni’s journey. I will be looking forward to hang around more with her friends, Dante and explore the world of the Kingdom of Hungary! And after that ending, the next book in the series promises adventure and that is something I most definitely do not want to miss!! 🙌📚👑

The Cursed and the Broken Menu!

As part of our tour stop, I decided to design The Cursed and the Broken Menu! Kitarni is very fond of food, specially of sweet things (CHOCOLATE), so there was a lot of talk of it in this read! 🍰❤️ I decided to create a menu based in all of the foods/ desserts mentioned in The Cursed and the Broken! So without any farther ado: here it is! Let me know what you would like to order based on it!! 🤩
