Why you need to read Little Fire

I’m seriously obsessed with Little Fire. It’s such a fantastic character-driven story with wonderful chemistry between the two main leads. Evangeline (an apothecarist who dreams to become a healer) and Declan (a powerful archmage) are thrown together into a portal that leads to the Shadow realm & they must navigate/survive this world plagued by demons while also dealing with their own feelings for each other and personal traumas. Evangeline’s easygoing personality + Declan’s levelheaded presence is what made them perfect for each other.

It was extremely easy to get lost inside the pages of this book, the storytelling was spectacular. Loved how the first half of the book was dedicated for Evangeline and Declan to get to know one another. And despite Evangeline couldn’t deny her obvious attraction for Declan, she also had no trouble to place herself first and set boundaries when necessary. We also get to experience life at court and learn our way through Declan’s castle where we get to meet several new characters!

One of my favorite secondary characters was Agnes Barre, Evangeline’s mother. She adopted Evangeline when she was just a child and cares deeply for her. She’s a powerful mage and a talented apothecarist, yet her unyielding love and honesty towards her daughter was what I found most admirable and it left me wishing we could see more of their mother and daughter relationship. And then there was Mailin, she’s Evangeline’s first friend upon entering Declan’s castle and later becomes her mentor. She was an amazing friend & confidant for Evangeline.

I’m really looking forward to continue reading Evangeline’s & Declan’s story in the sequel! I highly recommend to all fantasy romance readers out there!
