Tinker Bell, banished from her homeland for doing the unthinkable, selling the hottest drug in Neverland—pixie dust—wants absolution.
Determined to find a way home, Tink doesn’t hesitate to follow the one lead she has, even if that means seducing a filthy pirate to steal precious gems out from under his…hook.
Captain Hook believes he’s found a real treasure in Tink. That is, until he recovers from her pixie dust laced kiss with a curse that turns the seas against him. With his ship and reputation at the mercy of raging storms, he tracks down the little minx and demands she remove the curse. Too bad she can’t.
However, the mermaid queen has a solution to both of their problems, if Tink and Hook will work together to retrieve a magical item for her.
As they venture to the mysterious Shrouded Isles to find the priceless treasure, their shared nemesis closes in. However, his wrath is nothing compared to the realization that achieving their goal may mean losing something they never expected to find—each other.

Why you need to read Second Star to the Left
In this Tinker Bell retelling you will find one of the most popular bookish tropes: enemies to lovers 😍♥️, and I was all here for it! As we navigate through Neverland in search of a magical item, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook + his crew full of rascals, are competing against the clock to find it. Who would have known that Tink and Hook would make such a great couple?! Now I simply cannot go back!
Tink is desperate to find her way home and she is almost positive that if she manages to find the scale of Leviathan for queen Titania, her dream will come true. However, along the way both she and Hook get dragged into this impossible quest and they somehow have to work together despite finding each other insufferable. Their bickering and their everyday interactions were so fun to read about, they make quite the unlikely pair! 😂
“I wasn’t lying when I said I was broken.”
But I also felt so much for Tink, with almost zero possibilities to go back home to Sylvanna Vale after she got vanished, you could feel her sorrow and her homesickness was too real. And then there was Hook, that despite him appearing fearsome, he quickly became a favorite of mine plus his crew were so diverting. Tink found it super hard not to like them and once she got used to them, she joined in on their shenanigans! ✨
Aah, what an amazing read! There were so many colorful sceneries as well from navigating the ocean, visiting the crew’s hometown of Coconut Cove, exploring Rochland and the feared Shrouded Isles (to name a few). 🌊🙌 And if you are a fan of sea adventures with Once Upon a Time vibes, you must check Second Star to the Left out!! ♥️😍

Places I would like to visit in Second Star to the Left!
For our creative blog post, I decided to create a few aesthetics of the places I would like to visit/see based on the book! Second Star to the Left mentions so many interesting places plus the descriptions were so beautiful that I had a lot of fun creating these aesthetics in the wombo.art website. Let me know what you think! 🤩
First we have the Jolly Roger! It is Captain Hook’s ship, pride of the seas, you won’t find a more impressive ship, not in all of Neverland! Well… at least according to Hook, but we also agree with him. Although much to his dismay it is also named after a dead bird on a witch’s door?! 😂 Anyway, here it is: 🌊⛵
Next we have Coconut Cove! This is the crews home village, a small island but absolutely charming. Full of lively people (and pirate families/relatives🤩) this is a must place to visit. Plus, rumor has it that there is always a feast when one returns!!
And last, but not least: the Green Witch’s Shop! This is located in the bustling Port of Rochland and why not visit the entire place while we’re at it?! It is quite stuffy mind you, but it’s also filled with so many interesting objects it would be a shame not to visit. Plus, you will be able to find the dead bird that Captain Hook’s Ship is named after! 😂💖 But beware of the witch, she is someone you definitely don’t want to be on her bad side.
