The Week’s Entrée #211

Hi everyone! Welcome to another edition of The Week’s Entrée!

Yesterday I finished one of the best books I’ve read this year so far and omg, I’m sure the bookish hangover is going to hit me HARD. The book in question is Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa, which I’ve technically read 1.5 times since I recently started my reread after putting it down due to time constraints with manuscripts and interning/beta reading stuff. ANYWAY, as always, Julie Kagawa writes magic and gosh, I don’t even know how to write a review! But a review is coming SOON!

And to top it all off, Julie Kagawa was EPIC last Friday when she joined us on an #MTMC18 Twitter chat by bringing not only her two main characters, Yumeko and Tatsumi, but also Okame! It was a blast and you can check out all the awesome things the characters tweeted during it! ♥ Here’s my favorite quote graphic I made for the chat:

*SWOONS*

In other news…

With this book, I am officially one ARC down for #ARCAugust! I’m going super slow but this week I’ll be completing ARC numero 2 and I think at least I will be able to read 3-4 this month. I call that a success, don’t you think?! :DDDDD

…….
New books!

From authors, publishers, Netgalley/Edelweiss, etc.

Huge thanks to PRH International #prhpartner for the gorgeous copy of Seafire by Natalie C. Parker! So excited for my upcoming tour stop over on YA Book Central. I just love the whole all-female crew concept and so ready to dive right into it!

…….
To Read This Week:

Hoping right into Seafire since the book took a bit longer than expecting to arrive and I have to race so I can post on time for my tour stop. But no matter, I’m sure I’ll end up devouring this book!

After her family is killed by corrupt warlord Aric Athair and his bloodthirsty army of Bullets, Caledonia Styx is left to chart her own course on the dangerous and deadly seas. She captains her ship, the Mors Navis, with a crew of girls and women just like her, whose lives have been turned upside down by Aric and his men. The crew has one misson: stay alive, and take down Aric's armed and armored fleet.
But when Caledonia's best friend and second-in-command just barely survives an attack thanks to help from a Bullet looking to defect, Caledonia finds herself questioning whether or not to let him join their crew. Is this boy the key to taking down Aric Athair once and for all...or will he threaten everything the women of the Mors Navis have worked for?

And that’s it for this edition of The Week’s Entrée! What are you all reading? 🙂

Shadow of the Fox is GLORIOUS. Julie Kagawa is a master storyteller and an author I will always praise. Her writing skills only get better and better! ♥ And oh! Nova Ren Suma’s books are intriguing!!!
