Today is day THREE of the Top Ten of 2016 week event hosted by Rachel of Fiktshun, Jaime of Two Chicks on Books, Nancy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader, and Bridget of Dark Faerie Tales. This week is all about sharing our favorite reads of 2016 and the ones we’re looking forward in 2017!
BOOKS U’M LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2017
2016 was a great year of book releases but man, am I excited for the 2017 releases!!!! There are a ton coming out next year so it was a bit of a struggle to just name ten. In the end, I just wrote down the list of the books that popped into my mind (which I think most be the ones I am most excited about, right?). 😉
1. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
I cannot wait for the final book in the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han! We were not sure if this book was going to be published, but the author announced this earlier this year and since then I’ve been (not so patiently) waiting for its release. Ack! Gimme more Peter Kavinzky ♥♥♥
2. The Broken Ones by Danielle L. Jensen
Okay, I already had the chance to read an early draft of The Broken Ones by Danielle L. Jensen but I really really can’t wait to have this book in my hands and read it again and again and again. It’s so so good!
3. Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
I have this book in my kindle but I haven’t read it yet since I’m waiting for a friend to read it together but damn, I already think this will be one of my favorite reads of 2017. Pirates and romance and adventure and feels. Yup, this book will be a good one!
4. Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh
Renee Ahdieh is an insta-buy author for me now and I’m excited to read her new series! Isn’t that cover gorgeous???
5. Caraval by Stephanie Garber
Caraval has got to be one of the most anticipated releases of early 2017 and I still have no idea what’s it about. I’m trying hard to not be spoiled because I want everything to be a surprise once I do read it. Hopefully soon!
6. Now I Rise by Kiersten White
I loved And I Darken so I definitely need its sequel, Now I Rise! Lada and Radu are amazing characters and I’m very curious what’s in store for them next.
7. Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
Blood Rose Rebellion sounds so awesome and I just love the cover so much. Need need need!
8. When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
I’m still praying for the publisher to grant me access to the arc of When Dimple Met Rishi but even if they don’t, I will wait for when it does release because this contemporary sounds so cute and just what I love!
9. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
RHYSAND RHYSAND RHYSAND. I need more Rhysand now! Also, please don’t kill him, Sarah.
10. Hunted by Meagan Spooner
I also have a digital galley of Hunted but I’m just waiting a bit more closer to release date to dive in. This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and I pretty much think it’ll be awesome. 😀
……..
And that’s it for my top ten. What are some of your most anticipated 2017 releases? 🙂
Blood Rose Rebellion sounds so good. I hope that you get around to purchasing these in 2017!
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Ah, I'm so excited for so many of these! I definitely need more Rhysand, too, so ACOWAR cannot come out soon enough. I am also suuper intrigued by Caravel – I have heard SO much about it, but I'm also trying not to find out what it's about so that I can go in and be surprised, and so far it's working! I just want to read all of these. Like right now. I hope you get to read these and love them all!
Yay for When Dimple Met Rishi! I can't wait for that one either. So glad to find someone else listing it too.
