Today is day TWO of the Top Ten of 2016 week event hosted by Rachel of Fiktshun,  Jaime of Two Chicks on BooksNancy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader, and Bridget of Dark Faerie Tales. This week is all about sharing our favorite reads of 2016 and the ones we’re looking forward in 2017!
BEST BOOK COVERS OF 2016
Is it me or are book covers getting even more stunning every year? Seriously, book cover designers should get a raise, for they are doing an awesome job by gracing my books with fantastic designs ♥. But since I didn’t get to read all the pretty books, I decided to divide my top ten into two lists: the books I’ve read and the books I haven’t. 😀
Books I’ve Read:
1. And I Darken by Kiersten White
I have a thing for covers with weapons and daggers. I don’t know why, but I do. I only own this book as an eBook but I will get my hands on a physical copy soon to proudly display on my shelf. Isn’t it so pretty?
2. Warrior Witch by Danielle L. Jensen
My heart soared when I first saw this cover. It was love at first sight. I love how this cover glows and how perfect it is for the story. ♥
3. Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
This digital image doesn’t do the physical book justice. I love the colors and the model holding the dagger (see? daggers ♥), so kick-ass!

4. Crystal Crowned by Elise Kova

This is hands down my favorite cover in the Air Awaken series. It’s so so epic and gah, I need it sitting on my shelf. Soon, soon.

5. Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill
Confession: I did NOT like this book, but I can’t stop admiring its beautiful cover. I have seen photos of the final copy and it’s so gorgeous that I oddly wish to own it. Will try to resist!
Books I Haven’t Read:
6. A Million Worlds with You by Claudia Gray
This is my most favorite cover of the year and it kills me that I don’t own it, or any of the other books in this series. AREN’T THEY BEAUTIFUL?????
7. Even if the Sky Falls by Mia García
I won a copy of this book and I had seen its pretty cover, but nothing had prepared me for when I saw it physically. IT’S SO DARN BEAUTIFUL I COULD WEEP. The colors, the setting, the couple’s silhouette — PERFECT.
8. The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
Askalaksklaj another gorgeous cover! I love the stars and the far off palace at the top. And have you seen the cover of its sequel??? SO PRETTIFUL.
9. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
I had never come across a book so aesthetically pleasing like Crooked Kingdom. This book ALWAYS looks good in every photo I take. Whenever I’m having trouble with a bookstagram photoshoot, I always grab my CK copy and let it do its magic. I also love its stained red pages. ♥
10. Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst
And last but not least, the lovely (and quite epic) cover of Of Fire and Stars! Just look at it! Stunning is the first word that pops into my mind. Cannot wait to have my own copy!
……..
And that’s it for my top ten. What were your favorite covers of 2016? 🙂

  1. Great list! Almost all of these are on my TBR, except the series books since I haven't read the series yet, lol.

Of Fire & Stars made my cover list too! I've been hopping around so many lists I barely remember what was on my list and what I wish I put XD

    • Hahah I so get you! I can't believe I've forgotten to put so many great books in mine as well. But in a way it's okay since it's already tough to narrow it down to just ten books LOL.
