Super thrilled to be back in the world of the Crystal Bloom series! In this second installment we find ourselves exactly where book one left us—in the middle of an epic sea journey. Orlaith is on her way to meet Cainon, High Master of the Southern Territory of Bahari and also Orlaith’s betrothed. However her trip is far from cheerful as she deals with depression, hurt and restlessness from running away from Rhordyn and from the life she always knew. Not to mention that the trip itself was a difficult one and ended in disaster, but not to worry she reached her destination.

To Snap a Silver Stem we get to read several POVs including Kai’s who is one of my favorite characters! Even from To Bleed a Crystal Bloom, he was a fun and an excellent friend to Orlaith. The chapters dedicated to him were AMAZING, definitely a spotlight among all chaos.
I’m reeled through inky layers of muted reality by a brutal pain—deep and throbbing. Deadly.
In this book you will find adventure, a bit of gore, secrets, dark romance, and surprising plot twists in a vast world that’s still unknown to Orlaith (though we get to explore more). I’m curious to know where this series is headed to and to know all about Orlaith’s journey!

Hi Orlaith! Tell us how your life has changed since the finale of To Bleed A Crystal Bloom!
I am now sailing off to a different territory, and my world is rapidly expanding. I don’t have any experience beyond my Safety Line, so everything is so strange and new. I am also a soon-to-be High Mistress, and with that comes so many challenges and responsibilities that are shocking to me.
What is your new home like, and how are you settling in?
It’s all so different to Castle Noir. Now that I’m beyond my Safety Line, I want to explore! Although I don’t get many chances to do that …
I’m stealing moments to visit the city by sneaking out of the Palace. I have a feeling this place has a few secrets of its own.
Can you tell us about Cainon? Who he is and what does he mean to you?
He is my promised, and we are soon to be coupled. I have mixed emotions about him, and I’m still trying to work him out.
Tell us how you’ve been feeling about Rhordyn lately?
I am furious with him. He hid my true identity from me for nineteen years, and I have all these bottled up emotions that keep bursting out. He’s absorbing them like a punching bag.
Are you good at keeping secrets?
I like to think so!
When the book starts, what are your goals?
To secure the ships for Rouste and Ocruth, who need them to sail north and explore the source of the monstrous beasts that keep spilling over the Alps.
What’s your favourite thing to do when you get some down time?
Explore. Take plant clippings. Paint rocks—although I haven’t had a lot of time to do that lately.
Lastly, what can we expect from you during To Snap A Silver Stem?
I am slowly finding my feet in this big, strange world, and I have a lot of big, messy emotions to purge.
It’s not always pretty.
I will find my own voice, make mistakes, and some of them will hurt. I will make new friends, and realise truths about myself that will shock me to the core.
Above all, I will grow.
