Hey everyone! Welcome to another edition of The Week’s Entrée!
Christmas has come and gone, and though I am sad it is over,I’m extremely grateful for the wonderful time I spent with my family. I ate a lot. Laughed a lot. I even teared up for a bit. So many little Christmas miracles have happened to me since then. I’m calling them miracles because good things have happened to me in these days and I’m still full of the holiday spirit, but in all honesty, I have to thank the wonderful people that are part of my life. The beautiful authors and book bloggers and twitter friends who make my days much brighter.
To name a few of my Christmas miracles, I won a signed copy of Carry On by Rainbow Rowell from Brittany of Brittany’s Book Rambles and I managed to locate an ARC of Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen! AN ARC, YOU GUYS. They are extremely rare and you know this is the first book of my favorite series ever. I’m one happy girl right now.

Book reviews in other sites:
I reviewed the sequel, Queen of Tomorrow, here on the blog but I had forgotten to write a review of the first book. This was a good read, but the story definitely gets much better in the sequel. If you love historical fiction, then you should really check this series out!
Here’s the book’s summary:
ONE GIRL WILL BRING AN EMPIRE TO ITS KNEES…
Before she can become the greatest empress in history, fifteen-year-old Sophie will have to survive her social-climbing mother’s quest to put her on the throne of Russia—at any cost.
Imperial Court holds dangers like nothing Sophie has ever faced before. In the heart of St. Petersburg, surviving means navigating the political, romantic, and religious demands of the bitter Empress Elizabeth and her handsome, but sadistic nephew, Peter. Determined to save her impoverished family—and herself—Sophie vows to do whatever is necessary to thrive in her new surroundings. But an attempt on her life and an unexpected attraction threatens to derail her plans.
Alone in a new and dangerous world, learning who to trust and who to charm may mean the difference between becoming queen and being sent home in shame to marry her lecherous uncle. With traitors and murderers lurking around every corner, her very life hangs in the balance. Betrothed to one man but falling in love with another, Sophie will need to decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice in order to become the empress she is destined to be.
In a battle for the soul of a nation, will love or destiny reign supreme?

My new books!
{Purchased}
Look at the awesome deal I snagged! The first three books in The White Rabbit Chronicles for only $2.99! This book set is usually around $15.99 so I saved lots of money. Unfortunately, this isn’t on sale anymore 🙁
{Gifted}
And look how happy I look with my copy of ACOTAR. Parents/Santa made this girl very happy on Christmas day. 🙂
To Read This Week:
I’m still reading these two and I hope to finish them before the end of the year! Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be able to complete my Goodreads goal since I was supposed to read 115 and up until now I have read 86. *hangs head in shame* But next year I will reach it!!!

And that’s it for The Week’s Entrée! Happy holidays!!!! 🙂
Melissa, my goal was 200–brought it down to 150 still didn't make it. Next year will be a better year, my life is moving in a better direction–more time, less stress. Here's to making our goals next year!
<3 Merry Christmas!
Aw, I love your Christmas miracles! Good for you! I didn't reach my GoodReads goal either. In 2013 and 2014 I reached 100 books so I set it for a modest 85 in 2015. And I only read 75! Fewer books than I've read in years. Oh well, better luck this year! So glad you got ACOTAR!! One of my favorites from the year. I need to get my own copy soon because I'll be seeing Sarah J. Maas next month!
