The Week’s Entrée #67

Hiey everyone! Welcome to another edition of The Week’s Entrée!

The first week of June ended up being a CRAZY one for me. It had its ups and downs, so I’m really glad it’s over. Sadly, this is my exam week so it’ll be another crazy and exhausting week for me what with school, reviewing, blogging and work. When will summer break ever get here?! I miss having enough time to just read and be a lazy pants all day long!

Anyway, the good news is that The Chef will have a post up this week. YAY! My sister is finally coming back to the blog and she’s pretty full of ideas. I’m so excited for it!

Also, I want to send out a HUGE thanks to one of my favorite authors, Danielle L. Jensen, for sending me a $50 Amazon Giftcard. This awesome lady brightened my days and I still can’t get over this awesome surprise. Thank you so much for feeding my addiction! She’s THE BEST ♥

Book reviews in other sites:

I reviewed The Selection by Kiera Cass at Kate Tilton, Connecting Authors & Readers
It was a pretty great read. I was worried it was way over-hyped but nope, it’s GOOD. Part of it may have to do that there’s a PRINCE in here, and you know I love my princes. Can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series!
Here’s book’s summary:
or thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn’t want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself–and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Books I Got Last Week:

{Purchased}
All three of these books are on sale on Amazon right now! I’ve seen mixed reviews of the Doon series but I’m curious about them so I gladly snatched them up. As for The Orphan Queen, I really don’t know much about it but I think it’s a popular book among bloggers (and the cover is gorgeous!).

To Read This Week:

I’m finally going to read Volcrian’s Hunt by T.L. Shreffler! This book was sent out to me by my lovely friend Emma (thank you SO MUCH). Crossing finger that it will turn out as amazing as the other two books in the series!

And that’s it for The Week’s Entrée! Hope you have a wonderful week full of books! 🙂
