Hi! Welcome to another edition of The Week’s Entrée!
It’s a sad, SAD day. School break is over, so no more lazing around reading books and watching kdramas *le sigh*. Oh well, at least summer is looking so much closer now! 😉
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Book reviews in other sites:
I reviewed If I Speak True by Jessica L. Brooks at Kate Tilton, Connecting Authors & Readers!
I loved this book! It was fun and creative, totally worth your time. Oh, and have I said how much I love that cover? I want it for my bookshelf!
Here’s the book’s summary:
Dahlia Kennedy’s sixteenth birthday marks a decade of mysterious dahlias arriving and strange, lonely dreams of being in a forest. The only difference this birthday, however, is that for the first time, someone is there with her. And he’s practically from a whole other era.
The more often Dahlia visits Rowan in his land of Ambrosia, the stronger their connection grows. But… is Ambrosia real? Is he real? What is going on between the two of them, exactly, and why does he insist that she keep it to herself?
As secrets usually go, however, it’s only a matter of time before everything comes out. And when Dahlia finds out the truth of who Rowan is, who she is, and how he really feels — it’s beyond anything she could have ever imagined.

I reviewed Vicious by V.E. Schwab at Fantasy Angel’s blog, Avid Reader! She invited me to participate in her Guest Blogging Week were two other great bloggers also shared some bookish posts.
Vicious was a difficult book for me to review since it was so amazing, I feared my words would never do it justice. It’s the kind of book that stands out from the crowd, and I highly recommend it.
Here’s the book’s summary:
Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong. Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will. Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?
In Vicious, V. E. Schwab brings to life a gritty comic-book-style world in vivid prose: a world where gaining superpowers doesn’t automatically lead to heroism, and a time when allegiances are called into question.

YAAAY! Been waiting for this book for a while now. The first book, Fury, was so great.

I finally snagged a kindle copy of Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I think it’s time I check out what’s all the hype about this series. Also, my parents came over last week and brought me my own shiny copy of Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch. It’s so pretty ♥
I’m reading By Sun & Candlelight by Jessica L. Brooks! This is a novella that takes place after If I Speak True (at least I think it does). After that I think I’ll break into Snow Like Ashes!
