HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY, WARRIOR WITCH! ♥♥♥

Today is the day, guys. Warrior Witch by Danielle L. Jensen, the third and FINAL book in the amazing and my most favorite YA Fantasy series ever, is out! I am SO SAD, and yet equally excited that this book is now out in the world. It will DESTROY readers. It destroyed ME. But I loved every single minute of it. It’s a very special book and very dear to my heart, so that’s why I (with the help of the Chef) made something especial to celebrate!

 A Warrior Witch Cake!

BUT, before you go check it out, here’s a bit more info about this final installment (and if you want to read my thoughts, check out my review!).

Summary:
The thrilling conclusion to the breakout Malediction Trilogy by Goodreads Choice finalist Danielle L. Jensen.

Cécile and Tristan have accomplished the impossible, but their greatest challenge remains: defeating the evil they have unleashed upon the world.

As they scramble for a way to protect the people of the Isle and liberate the trolls from their tyrant king, Cécile and Tristan must battle those who’d see them dead. To win, they will risk everything. And everyone.

But it might not be enough. Both Cécile and Tristan have debts, and they will be forced to pay them at a cost far greater than they had ever imagined.

AND NOW, THE CAKE!
Tadaaaaaaa!!!!
CAAAAAAAAKE! ♥
My sister and I made this cake in record time (for us) in less than 4 hours. Time wasn’t on our side, and yet, we are super happy with the results!
The Warrior Witch cover on top was the trickiest thing to do of all, but in the end, we went for a minimalist style just how we did it with our Hidden Huntress cake from last year (see below).
This one still remains my favorite (and look, the original fondant Tristan! ♥♥)
But back to the Warrior Witch cake. The sides of the cake are book spines, Stolen Songbird (book one) and Hidden Huntress (book two). They were made out of chocolate rice krispies covered with fondant and BOY are they good! Each spine marks as a serving, 15 in total! The bread is vanilla with some strawberry filling.
The Warrior Witch cover is also made out of rice krispies and filled with cream. Basically, all the cake is edible. Including Fondant Tristan and Fondant Cécile. However, those two will be taking up residence on my shelf after I spray them with lots of hairspray and some preservative thing my sister glosses them with so it stays put, lol. They won’t be edible after that.
Here’s a short picture video of the beginning in the cake’s process. Sadly, I couldn’t take pictures of the decorating part since my hands were busy and we were running out of time.
Enjoy!

So this is what we did to celebrate the release of Warrior Witch! We love this series so much and we can’t wait to create more edible art inspired by it. I will ALWAYS love Trollus. And Tristan. ♥

  1. I am not going to enter this giveaway because my copy is on it's way. (TBD sucks lately when it comes to preorders).
But I had to check out the cake you made and OmG, you have such a talent! I want the birthday cake like this one, and the Christmas Cake like Hidden Huntress and in every occasion, I'd be happy with similar cakes!
What an amazing job you did!
