The Week’s Entrée #94

Posted March 28, 2016 by Melissa in Uncategorized / 5 Comments

Hi everyone! Welcome to another edition of The Week’s Entrée!

Can you believe I haven’t done one of these posts since the beginning of the month?! CRAZY I know. This book blogging slump did really hit me HARD. But thanks to all of you who left me you support in my last post and some pretty darn good advice, I sort of feel a bit more positive and excited to get my blogging fun back (in a few days, I’m still taking it slow) 😉

So what I’ll be doing the next few days? Reading reading reading! And jotting down ideas! And tweeting. Maybe even trying to become a better bookstagrammer? I would so love that!

And hey, before I forget, guess who reached that much coveted 80% ratio on Netgalley?

Yaaaaaay! I’m so happy about that because I now have that pretty 80% badge on my sidebar and I can scratch that goal out of my 2016 list. ♥

Book reviews in other sites:

I reviewed The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris at Kate Tilton, Connecting Authors & Readers

This book is a really cute read, not quite what I was hoping for, but it did give me a few feels and had me grinning a lot. The characters have chemistry and the guy is super cute. So I would recommend if you want a light, fast read. 😉

Here’s the book’s summary:
According to the guys at Fairfield Academy, there are two types of girls: the kind you hook up with, and the kind you’re friends with. Seventeen-year-old Alyssa Reed is the second type. And she hates it. With just one year left to change her rank, she devises a plan to become the first type by homecoming, and she sets her sights on the perfect date—Justin Carter, Fairfield Academy’s biggest hottie and most notorious player.

With 57 days until the dance, Aly launches Operation Sex Appeal and sheds her tomboy image. The only thing left is for Justin actually to notice her. Enter best friend Brandon Taylor, the school’s second biggest hottie, and now Aly’s pretend boyfriend. With his help, elevating from “funny friend” to “tempting vixen” is only a matter of time.

But when everything goes according to plan, the inevitable “break up” leaves their friendship in shambles, and Aly and Brandon with feelings they can’t explain. And the fake couple discovers pretending can sometimes cost you the one thing you never expected to want.

Books I got in March!

{Purchased}
Both of these beauties were on sale!
My copy of Burning Glass by Kathryn Purdie arrived yesterday and I love it so much! It’s quite a big book too and I can’t wait to read it.
My sister brought me 9 books from library bookstores and they are in such nice conditions. Yay for library books!
 I also got myself copy of The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury in the beginning of the month, have yet to read it tho 🙁
{Won}
Aaaand in March I also received the 25 books I won in Maximum Pop! Books Massive YA Giveaway. I’m one lucky gal.
So all in all, March has been my best book haul month EVER. 38 books! (Not counting review books) 🙂
To Read This Week:

I just started this book and YEEEAAAS. I’m loving the reading vibes I am getting from it. Not to mention that the cute, dark-haired boy that must be the real love interest is the kind of book boyfriend I love to love. 😉 Hope that it stays good till the very end!

And that’s it for The Week’s Entrée! What have you been up to lately? 🙂

  1. That gif lol. It sure is hard to get that percentage up. I conquered that last year because I didn't want to spend another year concerned about all those review books. I had like over 30 books on Netgalley to review. I knocked that out. Down to 6 and happy!

    I love library book sales I go whenever I can. They're in fairly good condition for the most part. So I guess we'll be seeing a lot of reviews soon!
