*Sigh* I feel so let down by this book.
It hurts me so much to say this because I was actually thinking Flawed was going to be one of my favorite reads of 2016. As I started the book I felt the magical book tingle, I was loving the whole idea about a perfect society marking its people as flawed whenever they made a mistake. I was loving (and loving to hate) the characters and their personalities, how they were the ideal role models of this flawless society. I even reached the point where I CRIED and felt respect for the main character, Celestine, as she faces head-on the ugly truth of the world she is living in.
But, I don’t know what happens to the story. I feel as if everything stopped and nothing else happens. Nothing to get excited about and I don’t remember Celestine ever accomplishing anything. The characters change and I understand why because the situation warrants it, but… I was expecting something better. Instead of feeling closer to some of them, I was pushed back to the stranger phase once more.
I know romance isn’t everything, but I believe that if we could have gotten a bit more of it in this book then maaaaaybe it wouldn’t have been such a let down. I mean, it WAS there, but Celestine never gets the chance to have it in her life. Her perfect boyfriend Art only appears in the first part of the book then he makes like two more appearances in the second half. That’s it. Then there’s this second love interest who I REALLY thought was THE ONE, the four to my six, but he just also disappears. Then reappears unexpectedly. I think Celestine repels boys.
Much of this doesn’t make sense since I really don’t want to spoil it to those who are wanting to pick it up, but I’ll just say that the first half of the book is really good, but the second half is what ruined it for me. It needed MORE of everything. More character depth, more action, more romance, more world-building (some things got a bit blurry/contradicting), and ultimately, a better ending.
Wow, what a bummer! It's sad when a book starts out great and then the second half is a letdown. It's normally the other way around! I don't have the time to read this book because of my hectic reading schedule, and now I feel better about that. Awesome review!

I probably have said this a million times. I NEED my romance, if the book does not have romance it has to be a stellar book without it. I like love and I love to read about it. I rarely see you give a book this low of a rating so it must have been bad. Sorry Melissa. On to the next great read!
Oh no, this book looked so good. But since I hate even a little love triangle, I'm happy I'm not excited anymore.
I wasn't a fan of this either. It was a quick read and something kept my attention but I felt, as a whole, the story was just lacking.
