Last week was a stressful one for all of us living here in Mexico. Hurricane Patricia sure gave us all a big scare but thankfully, nothing major happened. Now we have a house full of food! Better safe than sorry, right? 😉
In other news, I finished two books! YAY. You can’t even imagine how happy I feel to be able to read a bit more nowadays. My days were bleak when I couldn’t even squeeze in a few pages what with all the homework, thesis, internship and other duties. It was torture. But now it’s getting easier and I’m more relaxed. This sure proves that books are the best kind of medicine to a stressful mind. 😉
What say you? How have you been holding up? Are you getting ready for Halloween? I’m jelly! Wish Halloween was more of an event here. *sniffs*
by her human cover…
Sixteen-year-old Kitty Lung has everyone convinced she’s a normal teen—not a secret government operative, not the one charged with protecting the president’s son, and certainly not a were-dragon. The only one she trusts with the truth is her best friend—and secret crush—the über-hot Bulisani Mathe.
Then a junior operative breaks Rule Number One by changing into his dragon form in public—on Kitty’s watch—and suddenly, the world knows. About dragons. About the Draconic Intelligence Command (DIC) Kitty works for. About Kitty herself.
Now the government is hunting down and incarcerating dragons to stop a public panic, and a new shape-shifting enemy has kidnapped the president’s son. Kitty and Bulisani are the last free dragons, wanted by both their allies and their enemies. If they can’t rescue the president’s son and liberate their fellow dragons before getting caught themselves, dragons might never live free again.

What a relief that Patricia didn't end up being the catastrophic event that was forecasted. And how great that you're finding more time to read!

Yes, it really was! Mexico was going crazy from the nerves. We are certainly not prepared for such catastrophic events. Maybe this will serve as a lesson. 🙂
