Today is day one of the Top 10 of 2014 week event hosted by Rachel of Reading YA Rocks, Jaime of Two Chicks on Books, Mindy of Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Nancy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader. This week is about sharing our favorite reads of 2014 and the ones we’re looking forward in 2015!
BEST BOOKS I’VE READ IN 2014
For day one I’m sharing my top ten list of Best Books I’ve Read in 2014! It was extremely tough to pick only ten, but I managed (yay!). These are the books that made me swoon, made me cry or made my eyes go wide the most. The BEST of the best! 😉
1. Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen
Beacause it’s THEBESTBOOKEVER!!!<3
Nope, won’t ever tire of talking about it. Haven’t read it? YOU SHOULD.
2. Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Because Colleen writes magic, this book was soooo cute and I loved the music by Griffin Peterson.
3. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
Finally Isla <3
Stephanie is hands-down the best at writing Contemporary YA.
4. The Good Sister by Jamie Kain
Because this is a beautiful, emotional read about three sisters and it’s chilling how they cope with the death of the eldest. It’s amazing.
5. Drowned by Nichola Reilly
Because the main character has a disability and she still kicks-butt left and right. Girl power at its best!
6. The Body Electric by Beth Revis
Because this book totally wins the best plot twist book award (if it existed). Amazing, amazing, amazing!
7. Raven by Stacey Rourke
Because Sleepy Hollow retelling + Edgar Allan Poe thrown in the mix = fantastic book <3
8. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Beacuse TEAM CHAOL <333 Enough said.
9. Between the Lives by Jessica Shirvington
Because I loved how much I ugly cried at the end and because reading about alternate worlds/lives is so cool.
10. This Crumbling Pageant by Patricia Burroughs
Because this book is crazy! Fantasy in regency times with a wicked storyline. Must read!
******

Thanks!!! I'm having so much fun, can't wait for tomorrow. 🙂
Throne of Glass/Crown of Midnight/Heir of Fire is a great series! I recently got ACOTAR, and can't wait to start that series as well. I'm reading The Body Electric right now – glad to hear that you loved it! Excellent list!
Have a fabulous holiday 🙂
Check out my Top Ten post!
I'm waiting for my copy of Crown of Midnight to arrive but it's taking too long! Need more Chaol 😉 Hope you enjoy The Body Electric too, it's phenomenal. Happy holidays!
Most of the books on your list I've never heard of before, except choices 3 & 8. But still pretty interesting list and good choices! 🙂
I've never read any of those. Thanks for sharing! Here's my Best Books of 2014 post.
Hi! This is my first time here and you have a really cute blog design! I love your list and I just bought Stolen Songbird so I can't wait to read it. Thanks for sharing and have a great holiday!
ISLA was amazing. And Throne of Glass was too, though I read it previously. I have got to read Beth Revis's book and Colleen Hoover is topping so many lists. I must grab her newest release now and start to read it! And I like the sound of "girl power" for DROWNED. May have to check that out!
I haven’t heard of Stolen Songbird? Is it epic fantasy? Because that’s my favorite genre and it’s been a while since I’ve read a good one. I love the cover for Raven. Awesome list of books!
