Release Date: July 16, 2014

Page count: 472 pages
Genre: Erotic Romance/Adult/Fiction
Summary:

Twenty-six-year-old Nic Maretta is having a bad year.
She just found out that the man she was in love with and planned to marry is just that, married. So she does what any normal woman would do. She gets drunk, brushes herself off and swears off love forever.
She is thankful to have a best friend that not only loves her, but accepts the new ‘Nic’. This new Nic has decided to live life on her own terms, mocking convention; as well as her own situations. It’s goodbye heartache and hello sexual freedom. After all, what’s good for the goose, is good for the woman who likes sex! Or something along those lines.
Until she accidentally bumps into Brendon…
He is immediately taken in by her beauty and tenacity. She is instantly turned on by his good looks and sex appeal.
One crazy night, one too many champagnes and way too many phone contacts, Nic throws caution to the wind and calls Brendon. To her surprise he comes running.
Game on!

Ø  To get the ball
rolling, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I live in New Jersey with my husband Tom and my Maltese Zoe. I
love to read, write and cook. I have a beautiful daughter, Kate, who lives in
Philadelphia, whom I don’t see as often as I would like to. Did I mention I
love to write?
Ø  When did you realize
you wanted to be a writer?
When I was about fourteen I wrote my first romance. It wasn’t
very good, typical boy meets girl, first kiss, etc. But I realized that even
though I wasn’t very good, I really enjoyed it. I wrote some poetry after that,
and came to discover that I was much better at the story writing. Something
about finding words that rhymed that was discouraging.
Ø  What first attracted
you to write in the Young Adult genre?
Since I first started writing about young people when I was
fourteen, it kind of stuck with me. I changed to erotic romance/romance later
on.
Ø  What was the most
challenging thing you had to face when publishing your book?
I didn’t have a clue how to publish a book. I sent out the
typically agent query letters and sent my manuscripts to publishers but
although I got a few bites, I never got an offer, so I figured I’d self
publish. That was fun. Watching people review your books. It’s very, very
gratifying knowing that someone besides yourself likes your stories.
Ø  Can you tell us what your
novel is about and where the idea comes from?
I had begun by writing Unlikely Hero, the YA paranormal
book and stopped dead in my tracks after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I then
read All of Sylvia Day’s books and I was hooked on the erotic romance genre. I
wrote It’s
A Crime
and It’s A Shame, both erotic
suspense/thrillers, but I wanted to try a little comedy. That’s where Act
Accordingly came in to mind. I loved writing about Nic. She’s sassy and a bit
of a smart ass. She’s the most like me of all my characters.
Ø  If you could be any
supernatural creature what would it be and why?
I don’t know if a genie is considered supernatural, but I’d like
to make anything happen with just a blink and a nod.
Ø  If you can write any
book outside your genre, what would it be and why?
That is a hard question. I’ve written YA paranormal, romance,
thriller/suspense and comedy. I guess a different kind of paranormal, one that
has an odd storyline, or a historical romance. That could be fun!
Ø  What is one of your
favorite hobbies?
As I mentioned earlier, I love cooking. Coming up with new
recipes is my favorite. My husband calls himself my taste tester. I also enjoy
reading. I love getting lost in another place and time, no better way to just
relax than that.
Ø  Is there anything you
must have or do when you start writing?
I enjoy a drink, usually wine, when I start writing. It helps
get the fingers going. So I take my glass of wine, sit on the sofa, put my
glasses on and start typing. It’s not a must, the glasses are a must, but it
certainly helps.
Ø  Last but not least, are
there any other projects you are working on? Any sequels or new novels to be
looking forward to?
I
am currently writing a book that is more on the line of a suspense novel (guess
I go back to my comfort zone), and I also have two others started, both
thrillers.

Lucinda Williams – Are you Alright?
Alanis Morrisette – You Learn
Adele – Turning Tables
Adele – One and Only
Iron and Wine – Flightless Bird, American Mouth
Bruno Mars – It Will Rain
Christina Perri – Jar of Hearts
The Script – Breakeven
Kelly Hogan – I Like to Keep Myself In Pain
Julia Holter – Hello Stranger
About the Author:
C.E. Hansen is an American writer who wrote her first romance novel at age fourteen when she discovered writing about boys and girls was way easier than actually having a relationship of her own. Since that time, her communication skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her writing has. After earning an associate’s degree in literature from WC, she worked in a bus company, a law office and a wine/gourmet food shoppe, but she never abandoned writing.
She’s a proud mother of a beautiful daughter, lives in New Jersey with her husband and Maltese Zoe, and if she’s not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching cable television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to chocolate.
C.E. Hansen’s debut novel IT’S A CRIME was released May 2013, her follow up novel IT’S A SHAME, was released November 11th, 2013.
Her latest, ACT ACCORDINGLY, takes a turn from her normal. Instead of a thriller/suspense, it is a romantic comedy with a healthy injection of spice!
