The Chef’s Review

five-stars

I absolutely love this book!!! Aaaah, the magic, the creatures, the characters, everything is so enchanting! I’ll be honest, I am a bit troubled by how Fantastic Beasts defies the Harry Potter world, but I cannot help to fall in love with this story! (Sorry for the overuse of exclamation marks, but I feel like I need them to make my point) There are so many details inside Fantastic Beasts that I wish it were a huge book instead of a screenplay, I feel like I am missing out on so many things. However, I will keep loving it and since I am a Potterhead by heart, I will “Always” keep reading and supporting 9 3/4 %! (Sorry… sorry, couldn’t stop myself *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*)

For starters, there is Newt Scamander, an incredibly smart, extraordinary, marvelous and adventurous young man that studies magical creatures who carries a suitcase full of said creatures. Mayhem breaks loose when he “misplaces” some of his creatures and that’s when the story starts with his desperate attempt to get them back. Along the way he meets charming Jacob, the incredible Tina and sweet Queenie! Gosh, such great characters, not to mention the creatures who they basically turn into characters themselves!

I saw the movie first and I really liked it, but now that I have read the screenplay, I feel like I can appreciate the story more! It is simply magical and although I have also watched The Crimes of Grindelwald, I cannot wait to get my hands on that screenplay as well! So to all the Harry Potter lovers out there, you might want to check this out!

Happy reading!- The Chef
