Hi everyone! Today I want to introduce to you all to CLASSIC FRIDAYS, a brand new weekly meme that I, along with my wonderful Team Gray members of BBCP (Book Blogger Creativity Project), came up for our blogs!
The peeps behind Classic Fridays:
Mishma from Chasing Fairytales
Nori from Read Write Love 28
Brooke from The Cozy Little Book Nook
Wesaun from Oreos and Books
Claire from Blank Slaters Reads
Melissa from The Reader and the Chef
But, what is Classic Fridays? A set of questions that can be answered about any book/series. A topic will be chosen every week and with each topic, there will be a set of questions. These topics will range from your TBR to Current Reads and everything bookish in-between! This will be the perfect opportunity to share more about our reading tastes and get some book recs! Hope you can all join, and if you do, leave as a comment with your links so we can visit your Classic Fridays posts. π
Today’s Topic:
… TBR …
How big is your TBR?
Quite big! My physical TBR is 54 books high. Digital is a lot more than that!
What 5 books are at the top of your TBR?
I don’t know which one to read first! But maybe I should read ACOMAF and get it over with. Yeah.
Do you ever dump books off your TBR if you donβt get to them after a certain amount of time?
Not really, I always hope to come back to them eventually, though I do move books down to get to certain books faster.
How do you prioritize your TBR?
ARCs and eARCS per release date, then I go by mood reads.
Can you build a bookish rainbow with your TBR pile? (Bookstagram prompt, use #classicfridays!)
Challenge accepted! Will update this Q later with the pic!
Which genre is the most prominent?
Fantasy! I do love my fantasy books. β₯
TBR Spine/Title Poetry (Bookstagram prompt #classicfridays)
Here’s my feeble attempt:
A Court of Mist and Fury,
Boundless,
Faceless,
See How They Run,
Underworld,
The Darkest Minds,
Knights of the Borrowed Dark
Which book has the longest time on your TBR?
From my physical TBR, All These Things I’ve Done by Gabrielle Zevin. It’s about a world where Chocolate is forbidden and the MC’s family runs an illegal business of chocolate trafficking. Well, at least that’s what I remember, it’s been there for 4+ years!
How does a book make it onto your TBR list? (Do you just throw it on there or make sure itβs something that you will actually read?)
They are all books I want to read in that particular moment, though their priority tends to change as time passes.
What book are you hesitant to read?
I’m hesitant to read ACOMAF because I fear I will love it so much and I’ll die out of a book hangover.
Books on your TBR list because everyone else seems to have read it.
– Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
– Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
– Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
– plus many more!
This sounds like a really fun new meme! I'm really looking forward to seeing more. π
I'm super impressed by how organized you are with your TBR – my TBR is so incredibly haphazard, I'm constantly adding to it without really paying attention.. whoops! Though I do sometimes create a separate 'TBR soon' pile – you know you have a problem when your TBR has a TBR…
ACOMAF gave me the biggest book hangover, so best of luck to you and I hope you enjoy it! Really enjoyed your post. π
LOL, "TBR soon" pile sounds about right! I *try* to be organized since i review in 3 different sites & it makes things easier!
I am so scared to read ACOMAF. Like super super scared. But I MUST read soon, probably after I finish my current read. π
You haven't read ACOMAF yet? How are you surviving? Ohh Melissa you've got to read it. And don't worry I'll send you a care package to help with the feels – a ton of chocolate, tissues and a sewing kit so you could sew your heart back together when it rips! I'm so glad to see you on the BBCP event as well. I'm posting tomorrow but your team did such a great job with your posts.
