Book Summary:
College freshman Liv is more than just a fangirl: The Starveil movies are her life… So, when her favorite character, Captain Matt Spartan, is killed off at the end of the last movie, Liv Just. Can’t. Deal.

Tired of sitting in her room sobbing, Liv decides to launch an online campaign to bring her beloved hero back to life. With the help of her best friend, Xander, actor and steampunk cosplayer extraordinaire, she creates #SpartanSurvived, a campaign to ignite the fandom. But as her online life succeeds beyond her wildest dreams, Liv is forced to balance that with the pressures of school, her mother’s disapproval, and her (mostly nonexistent and entirely traumatic) romantic life. A trip to DragonCon with Xander might be exactly what she needs to figure out what she really wants.
*The Reader’s Review*
My rating: 2.8/5 stars

I was really excited to read All the Feels ever since I heard about all the geekiness it would have inside its pages. I LOVE geeky books because I feel that I can relate to the characters so much more than any other characters from other books, and while it did deliver some feels, I was expecting a bit MORE of every single feel.

For starters, I didn’t feel much for the main characters of this book. I didn’t like Liv and her personality, she was too “judgy” in my opinion. I felt her love for her fandom, but I didn’t believe all her other traits. I certainly didn’t like her mean thoughts towards her best friend’s girlfriend who was really just a nice girl.

And then Xander, who is the love interest and best friend, was a bit too much. All his “dearest” talk and him saying how delicious Liv always looked was getting on my nerves. It was kind of creepy to be honest. I feel that this character had so much potential, but he somehow fell short.

In reality, I didn’t warm up to Liv and Xander until the second half of this book (specially the last 8 chapters or so), and that’s kind of sad. But this part of the book was fun and the true highlight of All the Feels. The characters go to DragonCon and the geeky experience I was looking for finally begins. If only we got to see more instead of Liv drowning in her feels for her fandom that I could’t connect with.

So in the end, All the Feels turned out to be an okay read, but nothing else beyond that. It was tough to get through the first half, but at least I got rewarded with a bit more fun in the last chapters. I’d recommend this book for when you are just looking for a light read with some geeky experience and that’s it.
