*The Reader’s Review*
My rating: 5/5 stars
*Gulp* Wow. Before reading this short story, I had no idea that 12 short pages could make me feel so … sad and helpless. I actually thought Mama Cried was just a children’s story with nice illustrations, but I was totally wrong. It’s a raw and tough short story. It was unpredictable at first, and then downright shocking as the story progressed. I felt for Jenny and her innocence, of what she went through and what her mother was going through. It tore my heart to read how she had to make the decision even though she just wanted to go back to play with her faithful guardians and be a kid. Simply astounding. This short story really makes you think about the evil in this world and the strength of a pure heart. I really hope many get the chance to read this story. It’s worth to check out.
Sounds like an intense twelve pages. Great review, Melissa!
Sounds very intense, I'm curious how the author did this in only 12 pages.
