Book Synopsis:
Seventeen-year-old Caymen Meyers studies the rich like her own personal science experiment, and after years of observation she’s pretty sure they’re only good for one thing—spending money on useless stuff, like the porcelain dolls in her mother’s shop.

So when Xander Spence walks into the store to pick up a doll for his grandmother, it only takes one glance for Caymen to figure out he’s oozing rich. Despite his charming ways and that he’s one of the first people who actually gets her, she’s smart enough to know his interest won’t last. Because if there’s one thing she’s learned from her mother’s warnings, it’s that the rich have a short attention span. But Xander keeps coming around, despite her best efforts to scare him off. And much to her dismay, she’s beginning to enjoy his company.

She knows her mom can’t find out—she wouldn’t approve. She’d much rather Caymen hang out with the local rocker who hasn’t been raised by money. But just when Xander’s attention and loyalty are about to convince Caymen that being rich isn’t a character flaw, she finds out that money is a much bigger part of their relationship than she’d ever realized. And that Xander’s not the only one she should’ve been worried about.

Rating: 5/5 stars!

I’ve wanted to read this book for a long time, and it wasn’t until two days ago that I finally had the chance. My sister was the one that recommended it to me because I told her that I wanted to read a cute, funny, and chirpy book… It totally was!

In this read you have the adorable, sweet, hot looking guy that goes by the name of Xander, then there is the funny and sarcastic girl Caymen. This two meet from the very first chapter of the book and that’s something I really liked because usually you have to wait several chapters until you meet the guy.
It so happens that Caymen’s mother owns a doll shop which she and Caymen run together. That’s when cute, rich guy Xander comes in to buy one. Now Caymen doesn’t like rich, preppy guys like him, but he of course finds his way in. The problem is that Caymen’s mother doesn’t appeal to rich people either and constantly makes fun of them (she has her reasons). Anyway, Xander and Caymen keep seeing each other “as friends”, helping each other out to find their career paths and just to hang out.
There were several things I liked about this book but if I had to point out just one of them, it will be the humor inside. It was funny and entertaining and not at all boring. This book is like the best medicine to a sad heart (not that I have one, just saying it could work on one).

Full of sarcasms and charm, The Distance Between Us has all it takes to keep you entertained for less than a day (you won’t be able to put it down!) and it’s one that leaves you daydreaming for several days.  😉
