Happy Monday everyone! Welcome to another edition of The Week’s Entrée where we (the chef & I) talk about all things happening on the blog (mostly bookshelf additions).
You can now read the long awaited first 2 chapters of Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins over at MTV News. The book is finally coming out on August 14th this year. The wait has been so long, since Lola and the Boy Next Door came out like 2 years ago.
Anyway, these 2 chapters are so perfect, so great, so short. I need more. I need this book NOW. I <3 Josh already.
I’m thrilled that I finally bought The Selection (kindle copy) because everyone seems to love this series. The cover is completely gorgeous, and so are the rest of the books. I can’t wait to finally meet Prince Maxon and America and see how the competition plays out between her and the rest of the girls vying for the Prince’s heart (and crown).
The Liberator is the second book in the Dante Walker series by Victoria Scott. I have yet to meet the sexy Dante Walker but I know that day might be any day now. I’m ready to feel all the swoons for this bad boy.

After the incident, Paige agrees to go to therapy to appease her girlfriend, Jess. However, Paige doesn’t believe that therapy will help her. She believes she’s beyond help. Paige doesn’t want to find herself and she doesn’t want to relive her painful past in order to come to terms with it. What Paige wants is control over her life, which she hasn’t had since her birth.
During her childhood, Paige is blamed for a family tragedy, when in fact, her twin sister, Abbie was responsible. Abbie doesn’t come forward and Paige becomes the pariah of the family.
To add to Paige’s woes, while attending a college in a small town in Colorado, the residents are in the midst of debating whether or not gays and lesbians should have equal rights. Tension is high and there’s a threat of violence. She isn’t out of the closet and pretends to be straight at school since she fears what will happen if her parents find out she’s a lesbian. Will she end up dead like her best friend, Alex?
Thanks to the author for providing me Marionette for review! There are so many great reviews for this book so I’m definitely eager to read it soon. Hope I love it just like they do.

I received a copy of this book for the blog tour hosted by Lady Reader’s Bookstuff. Although I don’t necessarily need to post a review for the tour, I really want to read it before it stops on my blog the 26th. It sounds so cool!

It sounds like you're going to be busy reading and, since I heard lots of different opinions on The Selection by Kiera Cass, I'll be particularly curious to read your thoughts about it!
I hope I like it, but I'm afraid that I might get dissapointed by it for having high hopes. We'll see soon. 🙂

Becaaaaussee…..I STILL HAVEN'T READ THE SELECTION SERIES EITHER!! WHOO! Isn't that crazy? Everyone's talking about The One and I don't even have a single clue on who the heck Maxon is.
I've been meaning to read it for a REALLY long time but the review pile got too big 🙁
